The charming village of Rye Brook, located within the Town of Rye in southern Westchester County, is frequently sought after for its quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Here, the notion of community takes center stage in an area that places less emphasis on development, favoring its intimate, small-town appeal and its natural, leafy green atmosphere. Indeed, the village has been honored by the National Arbor Day Foundation with the title of Tree City USA for its tree planting and care. Nearby Greenwich, Harrison and Port Chester are easily accessible and provide amenities from boutique shopping to fine dining. In addition, New York City is only 40 minutes away via Metro-North railroad, with stations in Rye and Port Chester.

The town has a youth soccer program, with full-sized artificial turf fields for soccer and baseball in Rye Brook-King Street Athletic Fields. Between the parks, two playgrounds are included, and Rye Hills Park additionally offers a storytelling ring, walking trail and view of Long Island Sound.

The wandering, tree lined-streets of Rye Brook are dotted with Colonial-style homes as well as ranches and contemporaries, and include upscale areas like the 140-acre new urbanism community of BelleFair. The village also features a condominium complex and a few smaller, wood-framed houses. Residents have access to two school systems, including the Port Chester Rye Union Free School District and the Blind Brook Public Schools. Rye Brook also serves as the headquarters for major companies such as Snapple and Universal American. The famous William E. Ward House, listed on the National Registration of Historic Places, is a point of interest.

One of three separate areas that make up the entire Town of Rye, Rye Brook is the youngest municipality in Westchester County, only incorporated in 1982. In celebration of its incorporation, the town hosts its Annual Rye Brook Birthday Party at Crawford Park, receiving corporate sponsorship and providing a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to gather together.
